Bookings for Workshops
Workshops run at The Analogue Lab can have significant materials costs such as Gold, Silver and Platinum, and may also require materials that can only be sourced from overseas with long lead times and large minimum order quantities. Your workshop deposit is necessary to secure your workshop booking and also to purchase the materials you will use in the workshop
Bookings for Workshops require a deposit to be paid to secure your position in the workshop. In some circumstances the full value of the workshop must be paid at the time of booking, and this will be clearly indicated. Your deposit can be paid online via PayPal, by Bank Transfer, or in cash by making an appointment to meet us at The Lab. You will receive an invoice for this value after you make your booking, which must be paid within two weeks. You are welcome to make payment for the full value of the workshop at the time for booking.
Two weeks before the workshop you will receive an invoice for the remaining balance of the workshop. This can be paid online via PayPal, by Bank Transfer, or by cash on the day of the workshop.
If for whatever reason you cannot make it to the workshop, we require two week’s notice in order to attempt to re-advertise and secure a new booking to fill your spot. If we can secure a new booking to take your place, we will be glad to refund your workshop deposit. If we cannot find a new booking to take your place, we cannot refund your deposit.
If you have paid the full value of the workshop and cannot make it on the day for whatever reason, we will refund what you have paid less your deposit.
Bookings for Darkroom Hire
Bookings for Darkroom Hire can be paid online via PayPal, by Bank Transfer, or by cash in person on the day. Your Darkroom Hire Booking is held for you regardless of if you have paid in advance, and we do not require a deposit. If for whatever reason you cannot make it on the day we require 48 hours notice, and we will be glad to move your booking to the next scheduled darkroom session that suits you – be it the following day or the following month.
Please note that negative sleeves and photographic paper are not provided for darkroom hire bookings. You will need to purchase these ahead of time. See out Analogue in Adelaide page for more details of places to buy analogue materials locally.
We understand that circumstance does not always give you enough time to provide us with adequate notice, however, we open the darkroom regardless of if we have six people or one person booked to use it. If you are the only person coming in on the day and you happen to cancel with minimal notice, it can waste a significant amount of chemistry as well as the time of the volunteer staffing your session.
While we hope that you are completely delighted with anything you purchase from us, we want to know if something is not right. Unopened products can be returned to us for a full refund within 14 days. Shipping costs are non-refundable. Please give us a call or send an email if you’d like to return something so that we know what’s up. We are just two people trying to make nice things for nice people to make cool stuff with – we like to operate our business as real people talking to other people. We promise not to be jerks, we hope you will also be awesome to us.
