Darkroom Crash Course A: Developing your film
Saturday the 23rd of January, 1:30PM-5:00PM (Half day)
Instructor: Alex Bishop-Thorpe

An introduction to Developing your own black-and-white film! Two rolls of Black and White film in either 35mm or 120 format (your choice) will be provided ahead of time for you to shoot and bring on the day, and then we’ll develop them and make a contact print. This workshop is designed for beginners who might be interested in developing their own black and white film at home in their laundry or bathroom, and covers basic photographic chemistry and safe handling practices. A great introduction for people who might not have room for a whole darkroom in their lives. We’ll also be experimenting with ‘improvised’ developer formulae, such as paracetamol and coffee.
Detailed technical handouts will be provided as well as a shopping list of what you’ll need to get started at home

Price includes all equipment and chemistry, as well as tea, coffee, biscuits, and a spot of afternoon tea.
